This is going to be pretty quick, but I felt like I should write something. I meant to post something yesterday since the 15th was the day I started last year and when I said was my deadline to get started again this year. But I ended up forgetting to post.
I have been eating pretty healthy since last weekend, so I am somewhat ahead of schedule. I haven't been completely sticking to one particular diet or anything, but I have been trying to stay under 1600 calories for the most part, and actually I've found that generally I'm pretty far under. Maybe too far under. And for the most part, with the exception of a little more pasta than I would typically eat on a diet, I've been eating healthy foods. So I feel ok about that. As I move forward I want to focus a little bit more on a specific diet plan...either back to strictly whole foods like I started out last time, or else back to the detox diet. But for now, I feel like I'm doing ok, and maybe the fact that I'm not being too strict and just focusing more on eating a lot less and generally eating healthy foods is working.
As far as exercise, that's been pretty much non-existent due to the fact that I'm still dealing with my headaches. The medicine hasn't helped, so I called the doctor today to get a referral to a neurologist. I'm hoping it's nothing serious, but that hopefully he can figure out what's causing them and can give me a solution. Once that's done, hopefully I can start getting back to an exercise routine. And once I am feeling 100% again, I know it will be a lot easier to focus on my diet and everything, too.
Anyway, that's about it, I guess. I wish I could say that on Sept. 15th I was full speed ahead as I intended. But I guess we don't always have control over everything. I'm just hoping that everything will turn out ok with my health issues and I can get back to my goals. Hopefully I'll be updating again soon.

ReplyDeleteSorry the headaches are still a problem. I hope the neurologist can give you some other ideas of what you can do. I'm sure it's nothing serious (this kind of stuff seems VERY common, even though I know it totally sucks), but do keep me updated!
