Sorry I didn't post last night. I spent pretty much the entire day (and night...into 4am) grading essays for my side job. I literally felt like a zombie by the time I went to bed...my eyes killing me from staring at the computer screen all day. And now it's back to the same today. Ugh. Not much of a weekend. But hopefully next weekend will be filled with a lot more relaxation and a lot less computer work.
I've pretty much slacked off on the diet this weekend. I'm still deciding exactly what I want to do. I think I'm going to keep the foundation of the detox diet, but if I feel like adding in chicken or other healthy "splurges," I'll allow myself to do that. We'll see how it goes.
Since I'm hoping to get all my work done today (there may possibly be a little to do tomorrow), I'm going to try to get back to working out tomorrow. I was looking up the gym online that my apartment complex partners with, and it sounds like it's really nice! Two floors, a sauna, and they offer lots of classes! I'm not sure if the classes are completely free, but I'm guessing since people there are already paying a membership, they can't be too expensive. So I'm pretty excited about that. I'm just ready to get my focus back. I feel like I've been surrounded by people who are living really unhealthy lives lately, and it just makes me feel disgusted and want to go to the polar opposite. So hopefully I can use that feeling to get myself back on track and start living my active healthy life again. I miss the person I was a few months ago. It feels good to feel healthy. Not to mention, my clothes fit a lot better!
Anyway, I probably won't post again tonight because there's not much more to say (unless you want to hear me vent about the hundreds of essays I have to read). But Monday, we're back on! (Ugh...how many times have I said that in the past?) But I'm going to take control.

Hehe, we've totally had the same weekend. I'm about to get back to work! I stayed up 'til 4am, too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI decided to have somewhat of a splurge day on my diet (we ordered a pizza for lunch), since I've done REALLY well all week on it. And I'm hoping it will make being stuck on the couch working yet ANOTHER day, a little more entertaining. But I promised myself I'd exercise portion control! ;)
I'm about to get back to the grading, too. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteProps to you for sticking with your diet as well as you have. I know things like being sick (as long as I'm not nauseous or anything) and having to stay in bed, etc. just kills my diet usually! It seems like the only way to make that kind of thing "fun" is to veg out on lots of junk food! But really that just ends up making you feel worse. So awesome job! :)
Your pizza looks amazing, btw. haha
