Early Night

It's definitely going to be an early night tonight. I've felt sort of nauseous off an on all day and I can feel a cold coming on. Definitely don't need to be getting sick right now, so hopefully a good night's sleep is just what the doctor ordered.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was out and about last night and never got around to it. I weighed myself yesterday. Again, I didn't weigh myself at the start of this, so I don't really have a comparison. But I was about 2 pounds less than I was the last time I weighed, which I think was in October. That was after I had been on a diet for a week and I had lost two pounds. I know I gained that two pounds (and probably a few more) back since then, so I'm sure I lost at least 2 pounds on my first week. I'm excited to see what the number looks like next week so I'll have a better idea of how I'm doing.

Today I was getting ready for work and ended up having to change my pants because the pants I was going to wear were so big and saggy that I looked ridiculous! I ended up changing into a pair of pants that I probably haven't worn in 3-4 months because they were too small. So there is definitely progress! Also, three different people at work today asked me if I had lost weight or else said that I looked really thin and it looked like I had lost inches. Awesome!

I took yesterday off from working out (I'm taking Wednesdays and Sundays off). Ran 4 miles tonight and did abs, which I will start doing from now on. Taking this one step at a time, so next week I may add in some strength training as well. I just don't want to overwhelm myself and again, getting my miles in is definitely the priority.

I've been eating well, too. I'm hoping that having eaten well and exercised this full week (as opposed to last week when I didn't start until Wednesday) will help give me energy and stamina on Saturday. We are a little ahead at this point, so we'll be running 8 miles again this Saturday. From there we will probably go up to 10, then 11, and then 12. Then we'll back off for the two weeks before the race. And then 13.1!

Anyway that's it for tonight. My bed is calling me!
