Another day over with.... Ran 3 miles, so that I don't burn out my legs too much before tomorrow.
Running 8 miles tomorrow morning. My friend bailed because it's going to be really cold (at least for Arkansas and compared to the super warm winter we've had this year). 10 degree wind chill and winds 10-20 mph. I tried to convince her that we could do it, but it was no good. So she's going to run on the treadmill instead. I thought about doing the same, but I know from last week that running on actual ground is so much harder. And I really need to get acclimated to it. So I think I'm going to go run with the training group without her. I know I'll feel better about doing that than running the 8 miles on the treadmill. And it will prove to myself that I can do this with or without her. I think I need that. Hoping I don't wake up at 5 and change my mind. But I figured writing it here will help motivate me to go. And I'm making it an early night (and alcohol free!) so I should be much better off than last week.
Other than that, not too much to say. I've continued to eat well. I actually had two women from another department at work today tell me that they were talking about how I've lost weight and asked what I've been doing. It's only been a week and half of consistent exercise and diet, so I can't believe how quickly I (and other people) are seeing results! Marathon training is awesome! :)
Anyway I'll let you know how the run goes tomorrow! I'm off to download some new songs to my iPod to help motivate me!
