Quick Update

Well if you've followed me on Facebook you know that I've had a slight setback. Friday my leg was feeling a little sore, but I ran my 3 miles and it seemed fine. Then Saturday I ran 11 miles. By the end of it my knee was pretty sore and by the time I got home it was really hurting to walk on it. I was hoping after a couple of hours the soreness would go away, but no such luck. So I've been icing it and trying to go easy on it (although haven't stayed off of it as much as I should...) It feels a little bit better today, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to run again by the end of the week. I'm really worried that it's going to make it where I can't run the marathon. :(

It sucks to not be able to run today. I really hate when you actually WANT to work out and you can't because of an injury. Instead, I took the time after work to run some errands, clean my apartment, and get some laundry done. At least I'll be productive if I can't get my miles in.

Other than that, I've been trying to tighten up my diet a little bit. I'd started to go a little too easy on myself with the carbs. Even though I've been able to start wearing pants and stuff that I hadn't before, I still felt like I wasn't seeing the results that I should considering the amount of running I've been doing. So I figure tightening up my diet just a little bit will probably help. I started to really do that on Saturday and already I feel like I can see a difference! I'm excited to weigh myself on Wednesday because it will be the first time since I started that I'll really see my results. Since the first week, I hadn't weighed myself in the beginning. And then last week was after my "binging episode" and I didn't know how much I may have gained. So this will be my first week to see truly what I've lost.

Anyway...I guess that's about it. Hoping for a quick recovery!
