New Day

I went out for my friend's birthday party last night, and came home with a splitting headache. So that's why I didn't post.

Yesterday was better, but not great by any means. I worked out in the morning. I REALLY didn't want to. I really hate running after I've eaten badly the day before or the same day because it just makes me feel so heavy and out of shape. So I laid in bed forever and put it off all morning and the early part of the afternoon. Finally it was so late that I either needed to run right that minute, or get on with the millions of errands I had to do before the birthday thing. I was really close to just saying "screw it" and taking a shower and getting ready for the day. But I didn't. And I felt much better afterward. As always. Why can't I ever remember that??

Food-wise, I did well until going out. Breakfast: Carrot juice. Lunch: Avocado salad and sweet potato. Dinner: Veggie burger and sweet potato fries. Snacks: Turkey burger slider, lemon drop martini.

For my friend's birthday party, she did a pole dancing class. Kind of weird, but also kind of fun. Beforehand, me and our other friend went for a drink (the martini). They also ended up ordering the turkey burger sliders for an appetizer, and I gave in and had one. Then after the class, we went out to dinner since none of us had eaten anything substantial. I guess what I ordered (a veggie burger and sweet potato fries) was one of the best things on the menu....but still not really according to plan. I could have done better, or just opted out completely. But oh well. At least the pole dancing probably burned a decent number of calories. We were all sweating by the end of it!

Anyway, here's to today being a flawless day in the diet and exercise department!

  1. Haha, pole dancing class?! That's so awesome! I know you've been there for a bit and it doesn't probably feel new to you anymore, but try to enjoy your last days in L.A. If you look at some of the stuff you've done more objectively, it looks pretty fab and glamorous! Feel good about the period of time where you got to live this life!

Sounds like you did pretty well when eating out. Good choice!

p.s. Sorry if I've gotten comment-fever on your blog lately. :P

  2. Yeah, I am definitely enjoying LA while I'm still here.

But as for things objectively seeming glamorous, I think you could say that about pretty much anyone's life (including yours!).
