Today was a really good day. I felt like me again. And when I say me, I mean the new and improved me! It felt good.
I woke up with my headache from last night. Ugh. I've been getting a lot of headaches this last week, and I'm sure it's because of my increased sugar intake due to my unhealthy eating. Another reason to get back on track! I didn't work out this morning due to my headache. I was off work and pretty happy to not have any plans for the day other than a few quick errands. Later in the evening, I was feeling better, so I went running. It was the best run I've had in the longest time. For one thing, my chest congestion was a lot better, so I could actually breathe! (always a plus!) And second, I ate well today (and for the most part yesterday), so I didn't feel like I weighed 300 pounds. And last, the soreness in my legs seems to finally be going away. So I just felt awesome. Plus, I love running in the evening when everything has quieted down and it's so calm and peaceful outside. I've been working mostly nights lately, so I've had to run during the day. So it was a really nice change.
Breakfast: Carrot juice. Lunch: Avocado salad and sweet potato. Dinner: Salad, Squash "pasta" with goat cheese and tomato sauce. Snacks: Baked carrot, parsnip, and zucchini "chips" with homemade guacamole, and a little dark chocolate.
I feel like I'm back in my old mindset somehow. I still felt some temptations to eat unhealthy throughout the day, but I made a conscious choice not to, and it felt so much better. Hopefully the rest of the week will follow that trend!
