This Feels Better....

Why did I insist on making myself miserable when two days of eating right and exercising makes me feel like the sun has come out for the first time in months? In actuality, it's still storming outside! But the point is, it's not even about looking thin (which of course would be nice...but will happen soon) or losing weight. It's about feeling good. It's about putting good things into your body. It's about mentally knowing that you're doing something right and positive. That brings more happiness and peace of mind than a million donuts or nights of lazing on the couch ever could.

So if you couldn't guess from the paragraph above, I had a good day. Ate well and exercised, and while my reflection is far different than what it was three months ago, I feel great. And I know my body will soon follow suit.

I did 45 minutes of intervals on the treadmill and abs.

Breakfast: Carrot juice. Lunch: Tuna with dijon mustard, carrots, and snap peas. Dinner: Grilled chicken, peppers, mushrooms, red onions, and squash. (Does anything smell better than grilled mushrooms and onions?? I think not!) Snacks: Oranges, dark chocolate.

I'm going out tonight, so I'll probably have a couple of glasses of red wine.

I just can't even explain how good I feel right now. And as I remember realizing many times in California, NOTHING has changed except for my behavior, and suddenly life feels much better. Please shove these words in my face if I ever decide to act stupid again! haha.

I'm off to karaoke! I hope everyone has a good night!
