Today was a good day. Two summers ago when I was doing really well on my diet and exercise, it seemed like there was one day when all of a sudden I looked a LOT thinner. So I've kind of been hoping and waiting to see if that would happen again. Well, I believe today was that day. I was really tired and draggy this morning. Just didn't want to do anything. But finally I got myself up to go work out. After I got into my workout clothes, I looked in the mirror and my body just looked really different. I feel like I am getting really close to where I want to be! The last time that happened, I ended up screwing it up a few weeks later. But this time, I just feel like I'm not in any danger of doing that. I kind of feel like I'm just getting started!
For my workout, I did 4.6 miles of lower-intensity interval training and then did my weights and abs. I debated whether I should do the full 4.6 miles or just 3.8. I don't want to do too much, but I also want to make sure I'm doing enough. It's such a balancing act and you never know if you're doing it right! But since I was running slower than I've been going on my high intensity interval runs, I figured it was ok to do the 4.6.
Breakfast: Oatmeal. Lunch: Squash "pasta" with peas, tuna, and goat cheese. So good! Dinner: Egg whites, a sweet potato, and raspberries. Snacks: Carrots with guacamole, an apple, cherry tomatoes, and peanut butter.
It's going to be a busy week, and tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. Since the holidays are beginning, I've been scheduled every day this week except Thanksgiving. And I have two (possibly 3) more photo shoots this week. Tomorrow I have a meeting at work in the morning, then I have to work after that, then I have a photo shoot in the evening. Not sure how much time I'll have in between since I don't know exactly what time I'll get off work. So I'm going to run in the morning before the meeting, which means, at 6 am. Ugh!
And on that note, I am going to bed! Good night.
