I miss my friends. I miss my life....
We had a little Halloween party at the apartment today (I think I mentioned it in yesterday's post). Just three friends of my room mate's, plus her brother and his friend, and our friend from school. It was ok, but nothing too exciting. I mean, don't get me wrong, there were some fun times, but more than anything, it just really made me miss my friends and miss my old life. I was already feeling homesick this week, and this definitely didn't help....
Otherwise, it was a pretty good day. I went running this evening. It felt really good because it felt like such a long time since I'd been running, since I took off yesterday and had to walk most of the time on Thursday. My legs still felt a little sore, but much better. Hopefully I didn't make them any worse.
Food was good, too. Breakfast: a shake. Lunch: a taco salad with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, chicken, non-fat refried beans, and a little bit of cheese and sour cream. Dinner: Sweet potato and carrot soup. Snacks: Raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and peanut butter.
I made the Halloween cupcake recipe that I got from the Biggest Loser. It was awful!! The cake part was ok, but the frosting was horrible. I took one tiny bite and threw the rest out (after everyone else tasted them), so I'm not even really counting that in my calories! Disappointing, but at least I didn't waste any calories on them. I ended up drinking some Pinot Noir at the party. I had four 5 oz. glasses, which still left me with a little more than 100 calories to spare. Was thinking about having some fruit, but honestly, I think I'm just ready to go to bed.
I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to my calorie goal in the midst of drinking. I almost poured another glass, which would have put me 10 calories over (not a big deal), but I didn't even do that. And we had chips out for the party, and I didn't even have one. Yay!
